CADF Director Francesca Rossi to embark on new challenge

Oct 17, 2019

Cycling Anti-Doping Foundation (CADF) Director Francesca Rossi is leaving the foundation at the end of 2019 following nine years at the helm of the organisation. She is set to become Director of the Testing Department at the French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD), with additional responsibility for international partnerships and science coordination.

Since arriving at the CADF in 2010 from the International Association of Athletics Federations (now known as World Athletics), F. Rossi was responsible for setting up and managing the Foundation, which became a leading organisation in the fight against doping.

Commenting on her departure, President of the CADF Foundation Board Rune Andersen said: “We are very grateful for all of the work that Francesca has done in raising the profile of the CADF and positioning it at the forefront of global anti-doping efforts.

“Her tireless work and leadership have been evident throughout her tenure, constantly striving along with her CADF colleagues to keep the sport of cycling clean. The legacy she leaves behind will enable the CADF to continue to grow going forward. While we are sorry to see her go, we wish her the best of luck in her new role.”

F. Rossi will remain in her post until the end of the year. The search for her replacement is ongoing and further details will be announced in due course.
